I was born in Ohio and was raised by my two wonderful parents. I am the third of four children. I have an older sister who lives in Atlanta with her husband and two sons, an older brother who lives in Indianapolis with his wife and son (and one on the way!) and a younger brother who attends DBCC. I live in New Smyrna Beach with my husband, Dwayne, and my two labs, Black Jack and Daisy.
I moved to Florida as a teenager and graduated from New Smyrna Beach High School. I then attended the University of Florida (GO GATORS!) to earn a BA in Elementary Education. I continued on to achieve my Masters degree in Elementary Education specializing in Educational Technology. This is my second year at Read-Pattillo and I thoroughly enjoyed my first year here. I had an amazing class last year and am looking forward to getting to know my students this year.
If you can't find me in the classroom then head to the ocean or the springs! I am a certified SCUBA diver and have had the pleasure of diving many places around the world. One of my favorite dives so far was the James Bond Tears of Allah shipwreck where Sean Connery was being chased by the tiger shark! My goal is to one day dive the Great Barrier Reef.
